What we do
Equipping Ministries. Empowering People. Advancing the Gospel.
At Servant’s Heart North, we believe that a ministry’s mission should never be sidelined by the high cost of construction. We turn "expensive industry" into a free gift of service so that local churches, non-profits, and families can focus on what matters most: serving the community and sharing the Gospel.
Renovation & Construction
Construction is often the greatest financial barrier for local churches and community resource centers. We remove this burden by providing skilled labor entirely free of charge. From renovating basements for homeless outreach to updating local Christian schools, we ensure that these organizations have the facilities they need to thrive. By doing the “dirty work” of demolition and renovation, we act as the tangible hands and feet of Jesus, clearing the way for hot showers, safe classrooms, and places of worship.
Saturday Workdays
We believe that “acts of service” is a vital spiritual gift in the church. Our Saturday workdays provide an opportunity for both skilled and unskilled volunteers to plug in. Whether you are a professional contractor or someone who can simply pull nails out of a board, there is a place for you here. These workdays are about more than getting the job done; they are about fellowship, service, and making an eternal impact through the work of our hands.
Supporting Foster Families
We support these families by adapting their homes to meet practical needs—whether that means building a custom dining table for a growing household, constructing bunk beds, or creating sensory rooms for children with special needs. We aim to ease the daunting tasks of foster parents so they can focus on providing healing and hope.
Recent Projects
Grace & Glory Ministries
We recently completed several camp improvements, including window installations, roofing work, and landscaping. This project was particularly rewarding thanks to the Elim Grace Church youth group, who joined us in a coordinated effort to revitalize these shared spaces and serve the community together.
New Covenant Church
We partnered with New Covenant Community Church to modernize their historic 1800s sanctuary. Backed by 16 volunteers, we demolished the outdated platforms to frame a new, versatile stage and perimeter steps.
Oswego Community Christian School
This summer, we transformed our local Christian school by refreshing the main office, preschool room, and classrooms with new flooring and paint. Our most critical update involved repairing and reinforcing the preschool entryway roof, ensuring structural safety for the students before winter. These renovations provided a fresh, welcoming environment for both returning and new students as they began their academic year.
